Q: Was the Twilight: New Moon movie filmed on Salt Spring Island?

A: No. New Moon was not filmed on Salt Spring.
Rumour had it that it was being filmed here, but that myth has since squashed the hearts of “Twi-hards” who drove up and down Mt. Maxwell looking for the film crew earlier this year.
West Coast Canadians can, however, take pride in the fact that much of the the film was filmed in B.C. in close-to-home locations like Kitsilano, Stanley Park and Tofino.
Of the 16 filming locations listed on The Internet Movie Database (IMDb), 13 were in B.C.:
